D.A. Carson Event Registration
On October 6-8 the University Reformed Church of East
Lansing, in conjunction with the URC Institute, is pleased to
welcome a careful and informed assessment of the “emerging
church” by respected author and scholar Donald A. Carson, PhD.
The “emerging church” movement has generated a lot of
excitement and exerts an astonishingly broad influence. Is it
the wave of the future or a passing fancy? Who are the leaders
and what are they saying?
Beginning with talks about the nature of Doubt (Friday, 7 PM),
an examination of the reliability of the Old Testament
scriptures (Saturday, 9 AM) and culminating in a debate with an
emergent church leader, Carson will attempt to unpack the
theological implications of being a follower of Christ in a
postmodern culture.
